In order to work in a security-related career in BC, you must obtain a BC Security Worker’s License from the Justice Institute of BC. The BST Training Program is a 40-hour course required by the Justice Institute before obtaining a Security Worker’s License. Once you have successfully passed the course, you will be required to include a clean criminal record check, fingerprinting, and your BST certificate in your license application. (The fees for criminal records, fingerprinting, and security licensing are not included in our course fees.)

The Basic Security Training program is a 40 hours program, usually conducted over the span of two weeks.
If a student enrolled in a part-time course provides written notification of their withdrawals 24 hours or more prior to start, the college will give a full refund on training fees, or a credit for future use (as determined by the college).
If a student enrolled in part-time courses, provides written notification of their withdrawal less than 24 hours before the course starts, the college may retain the entire course fees.
